Become a CLM-Approved Provider

Becoming a CLM-Approved Provider: Easy as 1-2-3!

The CLM Approved Provider Program is designed to provide access to high-quality legal management educational opportunities that are eligible for CLM credit through ALA chapters and other organizations. Becoming a provider requires just a few steps:

  1. Complete the application: Each organization must complete the online application.
  2. Provisional approval: All applications are reviewed within 30 days of receipt. ALA will notify the contact that’s on the application and grant access to the CLM-Approved Provider training.
  3. Official approval: Once the CLM-Approved Provider application is complete, you’re official! You will be added to our list of approved providers. The approval period is good for one year and must be renewed annually.

What Are the Benefits?

We’re glad you asked. CLM-approved providers can:

  • Award CLM application and recertification credits for education programs for a one-year period without preapproval from ALA headquarters.
  • Market their education opportunities using the CLM-Approved Provider seal.
  • Be included in a list of approved providers on the ALA website so our CLMs looking for certification education opportunities know they can turn to your programs.

Fees

This program is free for our ALA chapters! Other organizations wishing to join pay a nonrefundable fee of $1000 with their initial application and subsequent renewal applications.
