The 2024 Spirit of ALA Award recipient is Debbie Elsbury, CLM. Debbie, you have touched so many lives with your dedication to ALA and the legal profession. On behalf of all of us, thank you for your incredible contributions!

The 2024 Small Chapter Award in the area of DEIA goes to the Raleigh-Durham Chapter. We thank you for your incredible work advancing DEIA in the legal industry this year!
The Boston Chapter is the 2024 recipient of our Large Chapter Award for Business Partner Relations. They created “Pop-Up” Socials, which were informal gatherings at a Chapter member’s office for Business Partners and Members. We salute your efforts in building long-lasting legal industry relationships.
Our 2024 Outstanding Association Volunteer recipients are Stacey Ransleben (left) and Kara Brostron (right). You both have gone above and beyond in your volunteer roles and thank you for all you do for ALA!
One of our 2024 recipients for the Elevate ALA Award are the East Bay, Golden Gate, Orange County, and Silicon Valley Chapters (right). These four California Chapters joined forces to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA).
The Gateway Chapter (left) is also a recipient of our 2024 Elevate ALA Award for implementing a joint ALA Gateway and Strategic Alliance Legal Forum and Business Partner Showcase, connecting their Strategic Alliance Partners with Business Partners and members. Congratulations to all for their outstanding achievements!
The Presidents’ Award of Excellence. This award is a performance guideline named in honor of all our Past Presidents. It is used to encourage chapters to take effective and collaborative action in support of ALA’s vision and mission.
