Chapter Leadership Institute (CLI)


CLI is going virtual this summer!

Chapters are encouraged to have one or more chapter leaders attend CLI.  Attendees find value in the sessions offered each year. Participants include:

  • Chapter President-Elects
  • New chapter officers
  • Current chapter officers who have not previously attended CLI
  • Individuals interested in becoming a chapter officer

Registration Details
The cost to participate in this virtual event will be $999 per chapter. This registration fee grants unlimited access to all members of the chapter’s Board as well as any committee member or prospective volunteer interested in attending. This opens the door for any member of a chapter to participate so long as the chapter has paid its registration fee! Learn more.

Funding Assistance
The ALA Board of Directors understands that each chapter’s financial situation is different and has set aside funds to support those chapters who need assistance with the cost.  The deadline to submit a request for funding assistance was Monday, July 6. Funding decisions have been made and were communicated on Monday, July 13. Questions regarding funding assistance should be directed to
