There are three parts of the mind: cognitive (IQ/skills), affective (EQ/emotion) and conative (instinct), but you may not be as familiar with the conative part of the mind — or how we instinctively take action. This research will inspire and motivate you to take a closer look at the power of conation and how it is used in strategic recruiting, retention and creating teams.
Former law firm administrator, Kim Brown Goodwin, along with Ben Bina (business advisor and Kolbe-certified consultant) will share their professional experience and research utilizing conation, via the Kolbe Theory.
Objectives:
- Identify how unique conative skills (based on instinct) can be used to strategically recruit top talent.
- Understand how instinctive strengths can be used to retain top performers, while improving overall engagement and productivity.
- Review case studies from organizations who have experienced success using conation to understand (and even predict) how individuals instinctively take action.
* As the only assessment tool that measures conation — and is also approved by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission — this session will reference the Kolbe Index as a resource. The overall goal of this session, however, is to demonstrate how conation is used in recruiting, retention and creating cohesive teams.
