Katie J. Bryant, CLM, is the Executive Director for Udall Shumway PLC, a 30-attorney firm in Mesa, Arizona. She oversees the overall operations of the firm, including financial oversight, budgeting, forecasting, contract negotiations, technology oversight, marketing oversight and attorney recruitment. She has over 23 years of experience working with law firms of various sizes. She obtained her Certified Legal Manger (CLM)^® credential in 2006.  

Katie has been an active member of ALA since joining in 2000 and has held various leadership positions throughout the Association, including the ALA Board of Directors (2014-2018), Business Partner Relations Team Chair (2018-2020), Region 6 Officer, Annual Conference Committee (2007 and 2008), Association Nominating Committee, Regional Nominating Committee and is a Past President of the Arizona Chapter. Katie has been a frequent speaker at multiple ALA conferences and events on various topics and very much enjoys both sharing her knowledge and learning from others.

Daniel P. Atcheson has held various roles in his 20-year legal management career and is currently the Firm Administrator at Jenkins, Wilson, Taylor & Hunt, PA, a boutique intellectual property firm located in the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina. He is a current member and Chair of the Professional Development Advisory Committee (2020–2023) and is also an active member of the Raleigh-Durham Chapter. Dan has a bachelor’s degree from East Carolina University and a law degree from the University of Maryland.

Lisa V. Fox is a Wisconsinite through and through. For the last 15 years, Lisa has been the Director of Operations and Finance with Pines Bach LLP in Madison. She has volunteered with the Wisconsin Chapter of ALA since 2007 in a variety of board positions, including Vice President of Special Projects, the Vice President of Business Partners Relations and served a two-year commitment as President. She is currently a member of the ALA Product and Service Review Committee Lisa began her legal career as a legal assistant before completing her bachelor’s degree in business administration and then a master’s degree in management from Cardinal Stritch University.  

Shirley LaBoy

Shirley LaBoy is the current Director of Administration at Bondurant Mixson & Elmore LLP in Atlanta. Prior to the position with Bondurant, Shirley held myriad management positions in firms in Silicon Valley ranging in size from 15 to 2,000 attorneys. She served on the ALA Silicon Valley Chapter Board of Directors for 10 years. While President of the chapter, Shirley focused on local diversity issues in and around the chapter and firms in the area. She is a champion for diverse groups within legal teams and understands the importance of challenging assumptions. She works to empower those around her, encouraging the individual voice and mind to better the organization’s mission. 

Stacey J. Ransleben, CLM

Stacey J. Ransleben, CLM, is the Director of Office Operations at Thompson & Horton LLP and manages all three of the firm’s offices. She has worked in the legal field for 38 years in small and midsized law firms. A member of ALA since 2000, she’s affiliated with the Houston, Dallas, Austin and Cyber Chapters. She has held various positions on the Houston Board and is a Past President of the Houston Chapter. She’s also held various committee positions in Houston and on the state level. Additionally, Stacey served on the Association Nominating Committee and the Chapter Resource Team (CRT). She is currently serving on the Cyber Chapter Board and as the Vice Chair of the Membership Development Committee. 

Stephanie Rose Ransom, CLM

Stephanie Rose Ransom, CLM, is the Assistant Office Manager for the New York City and Roseland Offices of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, P.C. Her duties include supervising the administrative staff as well as recruitment, hiring, termination and conflict resolution, among other tasks. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in human resources from the University of Memphis and went on to receive her CLM certification in 2009. Stephanie is currently a member of the ALA New York City Chapter and believes in giving back through service. She served on the chapter’s Board of Directors from 2018–2021 and participated on various teams within the organization such as the Business Partner Relations, Membership and Retention, Events and Community Services, and the Newsletter team. She’s currently serving on the Certification Committee.

Vicki Scott has held various positions in her legal career and is currently Firm Administrator at Rosenberg and Pick, A Law Corporation, a boutique health care firm located in Los Angeles. She has been a member of the Greater Los Angeles ALA Chapter since 2018 and is currently serving as Community Connection Chair and on the Board of Business Partners Team.

Teresa J. Walker, CLM, joined Nashville-based Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis, LLP, in 1977 and has helped grow Waller from 16 attorneys to more than 250 with offices in three states. She has worked with compensation systems at all levels, partnering with nine managing partners to keep Waller vibrant by helping develop and implement strategic plans. Additionally, she is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Tennessee Private Trust Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Waller, and is developing an additional subsidiary, Legal Solutions and Innovations. Walker is a Past President of ALA and served a total of six years on its Board of Directors. She belongs to ALA’s Large Firm Administrators Caucus and has served as a member of the Large Firm Administrators Steering Committee. Teresa is also a founding member of the Middle Tennessee Chapter.
