- Wisedocs is the medical record review and summary machine learning software for insurance carriers, healthcare providers, laws firms, and TPAs making waves in the claims industry. We serve the auto, liability, disability, workers’ compensation, tort law, and similar markets. - Originally launched as Bear Health Technologies in 2018, a solution to support claimants, Wisedocs was launched in 2021 and has since processed over 30 million pages of medical records to date. Our automated platform successfully offloads the laborious manual task from our clients and streamlines the entire medical record review process.
- Wisedocs’ recently launched our AI Medical Summary Platform that builds off our existing medical record review software. The new platform further supports companies in the insurance ecosystem by allowing them to quickly summarize thousands of pages of medical records while gaining insights across documents to enable fast and inexpensive reviews of and decisions on medical records.
- In 2022, Wisedocs closed a $4.1 million (CAD) oversubscribed Seed financing round to support continued expansion into the United States. This investment was led by Ripple Ventures, with participation from GreenSky Ventures, HaloHealth, as well as George Papayiannis and Tim Lett. In 2023, Wisedocs is embarking on a Seed A Funding round.

Wisedocs creates an automated, trustworthy Doc List for every case you upload, in minutes. Our clients are able to upload their health claims documents to our software platform, have the document organized into a medical record index, and get important insights pulled from the medical record review. Using artificial intelligence and machine learning models, Wisedocs will create an organized medical record index with insights based on our client’s custom needs. The medical records will be organized and indexed based on document type, title, provider, and date in the Doc List. Easily sort through your medical records using our hyperlinked PDF and Word doc table of contents output with easy navigation down to the source medical document.

AI Medical Record Summary Platform
Wisedocs recently launched our new AI Medical Summary Platform. Wisedocs' AI Medical Summary Platform builds off our existing medical record review software. The new platform further supports companies in the insurance ecosystem by allowing them to quickly summarize thousands of pages of medical records while gaining insights across documents to enable fast and inexpensive reviews of and decisions on medical records.
Insurance carriers, legal firms, as well as third-party medical examiners and clinical staff will now be able to extract key clinical information in real-time and build meaningful customizable medical summaries from complex medical records. Key features include an interactive timeline view, summary templates, keyword and date filtering, and an interactive summary annotator. Firms will continue to have access to core Wisedocs features including deduplication, customized sort templates, PDF and Word outputs, as well as advanced editing abilities. They will also have the ability to execute fast search, indexing, insights, keywords, and summary generation on medical records for insurance cases. Wisedocs’ curated summaries aid in legal defense, medical evaluations, and insurance cases, while saving these teams and their claimants time and money.

Connor Atchison is the Founder and CEO of Wisedocs, the smart way to review and summarize medical records. Connor is an experienced founder with a demonstrated history of working in health services, information technology, and management consulting. He aims to digitize a formerly manual industry through the adoption of artificial intelligence and machine learning to support tedious processes. As a former veteran with 12 years of military service under the Department of National Defence, he strives to change the process for filing health insurance and disability claims for insurance, legal, medical evaluators, and their claimants.
Jenna Earnshaw is the Co-Founder & COO at Wisedocs. Jenna has spent over a decade working with technology startups and scaling them from pre- to 8-figure revenue. In her free time, you can find Jenna reading, podcasting, and supporting the startup community.
