Introducing ALA's new International Shared Interest Group (SIG)
July 2, 2020
Dear ALA International Members:

Earlier today, ALA’s Board of Directors held a virtual town hall to discuss current events and happenings in the Association and to answer members’ questions. As part of the agenda, Board member Brian Gilman, CLM, delivered an update on ALA’s international strategy and changes to ALA’s International Relations Committee. (View the recording of the town hall event.)  The town hall started with a short introduction from ALA President Debra Elsbury, CLM, and moved directly into the international strategy.

The International Relations Committee will be available to answer any questions you have and to start the dialogue on how the new Shared Interest Group for international members can best serve the needs of this community. Please join us for a virtual Q&A session on August 6 at 8 a.m. Central. Click here to view a recording of that session.

As the new International Shared Interest Group is developed, look for updates on the International Member page of our website.

Best wishes,

April L. Campbell, JD
ALA Interim Executive Director
