Experience and Employment Prerequisites

Meeting the Experience and Employment qualifications is your first step towards achieving certification.

First, determine whether you are a Principal Administrator, or a Functional Specialist (i.e. HR Manager, Finance Manager, etc.). All CLM candidates must fall under one of these two categories at the time of application or have been working in such full-time employment within 24 months from the date of their application:

Second, you must be currently involved in the full time work of managing a legal organization, such as a private law firm, legal clinic, governmental agency, corporate legal department, or court system, or have been working in such full-time employment within 24 months of the date of application.
