ALA’s 2021 Association Luncheon

Incorporated into the agenda for each Annual Conference & Expo is an Association Luncheon. This luncheon serves as the Annual Meeting of the Association, which is required by the ALA bylaws. This year's Association Luncheon took place on October 5 at the 2021 Annual Conference & Expo in Austin, Texas.

ALA’s 2021 Annual Meeting

Incorporated into the agenda for each Annual Conference & Expo is an Association Luncheon, which generally serves as the Annual Meeting of the Association, as required by the ALA bylaws. It is at this meeting that the transition in ALA leadership traditionally occurs. However, with the 2021 Annual Conference & Expo in Austin, Texas being October 3–6, we needed to ensure a timely transition of leadership.

And so, on May 6, ALA hosted a virtual Annual Meeting. Immediate Past President Debra L. Elsbury, CLM; President Michael T. Bumgarner, CLM, CPA, CGMA; and Executive Director April L. Campbell, JD, delivered information regarding the current state of the Association. This meeting also marked the transition of leadership Association-wide as Debbie recognized outgoing Directors and officially passed the gavel to Mike.
