Dear Legal Industry Business Partner:
The Association of Legal Administrators realizes the critical role you play in helping administrators and their lawyers deliver quality legal service. With that in mind, ALA wants to ensure you receive the support you need from the Association when working with law office business professionals.
ALA's Business Partner Relations Committee has developed this section of the Web site as one way to help you get the most return on your investment in the legal community. Here you'll find advice, success stories and insight from the real decision-makers in the legal market: firm administrators and executive directors. In particular, the Tools section is rich with content geared toward assisting you with almost any issue, from a calendar of events, to FAQs, to calculating your ROI. We encourage you to use these tools to enhance your success with ALA and our nearly 10,000 members.
The Business Partner Relations Committee is charged with analyzing the organization's relationships and partnerships with companies that see the legal community as their market. The Committee’s Mission is to add value to the relationship between ALA members and business partners as follows:
- Facilitate communication among business partners, ALA, its regions and chapters.
- Provide resources for member and business partner feedback.
- Consult with ALA regional and chapter business partner committees to determine equitable value.
- Provide strategic input to the ALA Board of Directors regarding the business partner market.
ALA has also formed a Business Partner Advisory Panel. The Panel consists of
representatives from six legal business partner organizations. This group has proven to be a great source of information and advice for the Business Partner Relations Committee members, and they exemplify the spirit of true business partnership. Participants on this Panel are selected through an application process and serve two-year terms.
I hope you find this resource useful. I’d appreciate hearing your feedback about the site. Please contact me or any other member of the
Committee
or our staff liaisons to let us know how you feel about your relationship with the Association of Legal Administrators, its members, and their firms. We all share the same goal: building a stronger legal industry through our business partnerships.
