Post-conference Summary
There was record attendance this year at the "Meet Me in St. Louis" Region 3 Educational Conference & Exposition in St. Louis, Missouri. An unqualified success!
Thursday evening the Keynote Address was presented by Kevin Brown of QBQ who answered the Question Beyond the Question: How we, and our firms or organizations, become even more efficient, focused, and productive in the coming years. The solution is practicing personal accountability and responsibility, and learning to ask the right questions.
The Keynote was followed by a "Meet Me in St. Louis" welcome reception at the top of the Chase Park Plaza Hotel where we were transported back to the World's Fair year of 1904 as we munched on cotton candy, hot dogs, and ice cream.
On Friday, attendees got back to work with 19 educational sessions to choosefrom over the next day-and-a-half. Subjects were as diverse as legal management, finance, human resources, office operations management, and communication and organizational management. There was one session in series on Friday that focused on enhancing employee commitment, followed by creating a roadmap to navigate through the recession and beyond later that day. Additionally, there were eight sessions that offered Certified Legal Manager (CLM)SM recertification credit.
The Exhibit Hall was packed -- take a look at the 2009 Region 3 Exhibitors and Sponsors list. It was a great opportunity for attendees and business service partners alike.
