Part II: Business Interruption/Disaster Recovery: Protect the Records

July 23, 2008

11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Pacific  |  12 noon - 2 p.m. Mountain  |  1 - 3 p.m. Central  |  2 - 4 p.m. Eastern

Part I of Business Interruption/Disaster Recovery focused on technology and protecting the firms’ assets in ways that are unaffordable for small firms. Part II of this two-part series focuses on issues that involve protecting and recovering a firm’s records. The speakers will discuss where files are and should be stored and some best practices for storing records and files. Attendees to this program should be able to:

  • Identify what needs to be protected
  • Discuss the importance of having a records recovery plan
  • Construct a records protection and recovery plan appropriate for the firm — no matter what size
  • Compare and balance the options available for records management in relationship to disaster recovery, balancing costs against risks
