Part I: Business Interruption/Disaster Recovery: Protect the Technology

June 18, 2008

11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Pacific  |  12 noon - 2 p.m. Mountain  |  1 - 3 p.m. Central  |  2 - 4 p.m. Eastern

There are ways to plan for a recovery from a disaster that are affordable for small firms. Think about the many ways in which your firm’s business can be interrupted: The water tank on the roof leaks and cascades of water roll down the stairs into your network and file room. A disgruntled employee trashes the network. Attend this first program of a two-part series that will focus on ways to plan to recover from natural — sometimes man-made — disasters. Attendees to this program should be able to:

  • Identify what assets/technology need to be protected
  • Discuss the importance of having a recovery plan for every firm
  • Construct a plan appropriate for the firm — no matter what size
  • List the options for protecting the firms’ assets/technology
  • Compare and balance the options available for recovering the technology that supports the firm
  • Explain the best option
