ALA’s goal is to increase diversity and inclusion in the Association, in the legal management community and in all legal service organizations.

The ALA Diversity Initiative aims to increase awareness of and sensitivity to the differences among our workforce and to advance the concepts of inclusiveness and acceptance. To help meet these goals, ALA offers many tools including educational programming, publications, speakers, monthly tips, and the new Diversity and Inclusion Scorecard — Roadmap to Change for Law Firms and ALA Chapters.

The Committee on Diversity and Inclusion oversees ALA's Diversity Initiative and is dedicated to providing each ALA member the tools and resources required to be a leader in working together towards meeting the Association’s stated goal. Committee Mission

The ALA Committee on Diversity & Inclusion is dedicated to providing each ALA member with the tools and resources required to be a leader in meeting ALA's goal to "increase diversity and inclusion in the Association, in the legal management community and in all legal service organizations." We are working and living in a sea of change.
