The ALA Association Luncheon, which marks the formal beginning of ALA’s new leadership year, featured the traditional “passing of the gavel” from 2007-2008 ALA President Patricia L. "Patti" Groff, CLM, of Butz Dunn & DeSantis to 2008-2009 President Wendy Rice-Isaacs of Vorys Sater Seymour and Pease LLP. After the gavel exchange, attendees enjoyed an engaging, light-hearted presentation by Steve Pool, chief weather forecaster at Seattle’s KOMO 4 television station.
