What is it?
ALA's Chapter Leadership Institute (CLI) is an orientation, training and networking event for chapter officers and volunteer leaders. Participants include ALA's Board of
Directors, Regional Representatives (formerly Regional Officers), Chapter Leaders, Business Partners and key members of the Headquarters Staff. CLI provides a unique opportunity for learning about and
strengthening your leadership role, sharing ideas and experiences with colleagues and expanding your network.
Who should attend?
Each chapter is encouraged to send one or more chapter leaders to CLI. Everyone who attends will find value in the sessions being offered, however, "ideal" participants include:
- the individual who is currently serving as your chapter’s President-Elect;
- new chapter officers;
- current chapter officers who have not previously attended CLI; and
- individuals interested in becoming a chapter officer.
