2015 ALA Annual Conference
Whether you are new to legal administration, or looking to advance your career, make plans to attend the 2015 ALA Annual Conference & Expo, May 17–20 in Nashville. As the Chair of ALA’s premier event, I have a unique perspective of how the conference is taking shape – and it’s exciting! This experience goes into my diary as one of my most rewarding life experiences. I will forever cherish the lifetime friendships with fellow committee members.
My vision is to create an event that will help launch or fast-forward your career to its full potential, just like so many have achieved in Nashville. Using ALA's Strategic Plan as a guide, I have been working with the committee in an intense, methodical way to help ensure the end result exceeds expectations. It is our goal to offer education that will prepare you for the challenges ahead. This requires us to develop ‘ahead of the curve’ education in different formats, and present new and important networking opportunities. We want you to take home actionable knowledge and important connections to position yourself as a leader within your organization.
Below are some of the conference highlights to date.

Alison Levine, an adventurer, explorer and mountaineer who has climbed the highest peak on every continent, and served as the team captain of the first American Women’s Everest Expedition. Ms. Levine will kick off Monday morning with a Keynote Address focused on Peakonomics, a framework to help people scale whatever big peaks they aspire to climb.
