Challenge Extended

Help the Foundation Raise Funds for the Susan L. French Scholarship Fundfoundation-news

The Foundation of the Association of Legal Administrators has been administering and raising funds for the Susan L. French Emerging Leaders Scholarship Fund.  The Susan French Emerging Leader Scholarship Fund was established by GLJ Benefit Consultants in memory of former ALA President Susan L. French. The fund was established in 2013 in recognition of Susan’s commitment to professionalism, dedication to the advancement of law firm administration, development of future leaders and record of long-term service to the Association of Legal Administrators.

Recently, the Foundation received a very generous donation from incoming President-Elect James L. Cornell, III, of $1,000. His firm, Graves Dougherty Hearon & Moody, PC in Austin, then matched his contribution and donated another $1,000.

Inspired by their generosity, we wanted to challenge other donors to help us meet or exceed the amounts donated by James and his firm. We are looking to challenge our members, chapters and business partners to meet and hopefully exceed that $2,000 goal. Any amount towards that goal is very much appreciated! These donations further expand our ability to fund scholarships to ALA’s Annual Leadership Institute. We are very excited about this opportunity to further the vision of the fund and to honor the values and practice that Susan French was guided by in her service to the Association.

If you or your Chapter would like to participate in the challenge, donations are accepted through our website. Please just add “Susan French” in the recognition name section.
